First of all, this taste like 77% dark chocolate, but I cannot taste the difference in this mushroom variety versus just dark chocolate. However, at $250 for 10 bars, this is way overpriced. I purchased these for $35 which isn’t bad. The taste is mild but decent mushroom chocolate. The bars are small but overall a good serving and low calorie. I was planning to reorder but the price jumped from $35 to $50, that is insane. Would not purchase these for that much money definitely not worth it.

I ordered this last week and it was just delivered today- I was a little worried after I purchased it and then read some of the reviews saying that it was old chocolate my product has a Best Buy date a year from now and it appeared exactly like it should upon opening up a large chocolate bar- it didn’t look nor taste old- it was a delicious melt in your mouth fun guy mushroom chocolate candy bar. The picture of the product says it ships with cool packs but I suppose with it being early May and not quite too warm or hot the danger of it melting was low so even though it didn’t ship with cool packs, it wasn’t really an issue- now if you order this product in mid summer and warmer temperatures, you may need it to ship with the cool packs. I got the package about two hours ago and I managed to hold off opening it until now and I’ve already ate a delicious bar- these make going back to a regular sized chocolate bar disappointing. I bought these to help get me through the stressful women’s World Cup this summer, hopefully I can make them last until July when the matches start

I really enjoy this chocolate. It’s rich in flavor, not too bitter or too sweet. I can’t taste the mushrooms but like knowing that they are in it. I’d get these regularly (for myself and others) and be willing to pay more because they have the mushroom blend but nowhere near the current price ($50).

I love shroom chocolate and have paid in excess of $20 to $35 for bars of chocolate. Comparatively, this chocolate is on the higher end of the price scale. Even though I found this chocolate to be of superior quality, I’d say that the price for this chocolate is slightly even out of the ballpark range for higher quality chocolate I’ve purchased.
The flavor of this chocolate was really interesting. Some dark chocolate can have a chalky mouthfeel that is not pleasant. This chocolate had a very smooth mouthfeel and melted nicely which is surprising given how dark this chocolate is. It is less sweet than other chocolate with a slight bitterness which I actually prefer. It has a umami undertones that was unexpected and yet enjoyable which I attribute to the mushrooms in this chocolate. I love that it didn’t have any sour notes that some dark chocolate can leave.
I don’t normally take mushroom supplements so I can’t really say if there are health benefits from having this but from a chocolate snob perspective, this was a nice treat. If you are a chocoholic like myself and looking to experience something new in chocolate, I recommend trying this. This less sweet dark chocolate with an interesting umami flavor profile was a nice treat and something different that I hadn’t experienced before.

It’s organic. Heirloom cacao. Rainforest friendly and all that stuff, if it matters to you. As a matter of fact, yes! It does matter to me! How to make it even better? Add those mushrooms, please.
